New Windsor Fire/EMS Center Facility
PAC Group was hired as the general contractor to renovate the former Windsor Police Station; transforming the 25,685 sq. ft. facility into the new fire station and EMS facility. There is also a new 9,439 sq. ft. addition that houses a new apparatus bay and additional mezzanine space. Before the project could begin, utilities needed to be relocated. The project also included radiant heated floors, overhead doors, vented exhaust in the apparatus bays, new sleeping quarters, and a mini training facility. The exterior façade was renovated and site work needed to be reworked to accommodate new drainage, new access and exits, and parking for the EMS and Fire Departments. Removing hazardous materials and extensive reinforcing of existing structures were also part of this project. The Project was completed in 3 phases in order to maintain the functionality of the apparatus bay during construction.
